End of season 3 What an amazing journey this has been so far…. Never sailed except for a beginners course at the Hamilton Yatch club and a season at the Ottawa Onec yacht club and here we are more than half way down the Windward Islands. We arrived in St Lucia at the end of June. Of course for the experienced sailors, they could have done this in one season, but for us, in COVID time, it’s a major accomplishment and we are so proud. Season three is complete. Hurricane season has begun and we’ve even gone through our first tropical wave. We are tying up the boat to a slip in St Lucia until October and flying to Canada to see family and friends. Long over due. We’ve been on the boat since November 2020. It’s somewhat stressful to leave our boat after such a long time. We’re technically not suppose to leave it on a slip without having someone live on it but after walking up and down the docks, it’s seems to be the common thing to do. It’s a marina after all.
