Well needed rest

It’s been a little over 3 months since we left Crysler park marina in Morrisburg.
We’ve had many learning curves, including some mistakes, a few scratches, mechanical woes, cold weather but also some triumphs, good times, good laughs and have learned so much in that short period of time (also felt longer sometimes) and have met many wonderful people along the way.
Now we are slightly burnt out and in need of some R and R as well as finishing our upgrades and repairs that we didn’t get to  complete at the  “Sketchy” marina.
Thanks to some sailing friends who told us about a marina in northern Florida, we have decided to dock our boat for a month, enjoy Christmas and New Year at this Yacht club.
This is a 5 star marina with access to resort facilities at a one star price. We have so many pools to chose from, spas and fitness centers just to name a few amenities. It’s an absolute gem, not advertised. We basically have the place to ourselves....guess it’s too cold for Florida people but very nice for us northerners.
Also being in northern Florida, the prices are much better than the south so we will be able to do heavy provisioning before heading for the Bahamas which is very pricey.
Mike is already looking for space on the boat for his beer stash lol.
Another nice thing about our time here is having a friend from Kitchener coming to spend Christmas with us. Looking forward to his visit.
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Love
Mike and Pierrette

  1. This looks a lot better than the sketchy place!!!! I can't wait to show the kids the photos. Speaking of the Bahamas. I was listening to an interview with an astronaut last week and he said he could recognize the Bahamas very easily from space because it looks so blue and expensive. Hugs and Merry Christmas XOX
